posted in TV & Film by

Yep, its that time of year again. The school holidays are upon us. Your kids are looking forward to spending six weeks outdoors in the sunshine. But of course, you can’t always depend on the weather in the holidays, and you’ll need some other way of entertaining them indoors. Luckily, the TV schedule for this Summer looks pretty impressive.

Thunderbirds Are Go

Saturday mornings belong to this epic reboot of the classic TV series. Without a string in sight, the slick new imagining of International Rescue is a seriously exciting start to the day.

A great excuse to install Sky Movies, Toy Story OF TERROR features the most recent appearance of Buzz Lightyear and Woody with the gang going missing at a roadside motel. Definitely one to keep the kids busy. Now showing on Sky Movies.

The Simpsons

The go to TV show for those rainy moments, there won’t be many days this summer when The Simpsons is not on one channel or another. And lets be honest, The Simpsons isn’t just for the kids.

The Clangers

Having just made its long awaited return to our televisions, the Clangers are ready to entertain a new generation of children. Not a huge amount has changed about this classic TV series, but its return will certainly be welcomed by kids and parents alike.

Another great hit on the schedule from Sky Movies, Wreck-it-Ralph is one of the most exciting Disney hits in recent years. On that rainy afternoon in the middle of the holidays, this is the perfect summer film.

And For the Adults…..

Lets be honest, if it is raining cats and dogs, then you’re not going to want to be outside either, so once the kids have gone to bed, why not dip into these TV gems.

Marvel are showing their darker side with their latest TV series. Following the blind lawyer, Matt Murdoch as he fights crime at night, this is a real belter of a TV series.

As ever, 24 is a real jewel in the crown of the Sky Box Set selection. What better way to spend a miserable night then binge watching an early season of 24? We can’t think of a single one.
